The Blanket - A Journal of Protest & Dissent
The Party's Fool

I found how the world had been misled by Prostitute Writers, to ascribe the greatest exploits in war to Cowards, the wisest counsel to Fools, sincerity to Flatterers, virtue to Betrayers of their Country...truth to Informers. - Jonathan Swift

Karen Lyden Cox • 05.06.03

With detailed accounts of touts and conspiracies pending, we learned more this week about the unethical methods employed by Northern Ireland's politicians just by reading the writings of a fraud.

The impostor "X" incident reveals the depths to which the pro-process cartel will rise to silence other voices, malign dissenters and maintain the distractions of the process.

Most significantly, the prostitutions of writer "X" deceived not just the dissenting block; process supporters, independent news sifting agencies, non-aligned journalists and the general readership were misled as well.

Ironically, the impostor used this quote while deceiving all of us:

"Ruling by fooling is a great British art, especially with great Irish fools to practice on."

Once again, you have demonstrated your Party's aptitude for mastery of the arts.
