The Blanket - A Journal of Protest & Dissent
...and to create the space for a diversity of views...

Noel Dolan • 3 November 2006

..unless those views disagree with yours.

It was interesting to note how you descended into using expletives in your article attacking me - a sure sign of a man unable to defend the indefensible.

Charles A. Beard:

Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad with power.

John Adams:

There is danger from all men. The only maxim of a free government ought to be to trust no man living with power to endanger the public liberty.

I laugh at you Anthony McIntyre - I know that there's no point in arguing with you because you're blind, and deaf, but unfortunately not dumb - at least not in the speaking sense of the word.

I received an email from Colin Parry after the show commending me for standing up to Feilim's appointment. He said it was too painful for him to do such things.

I will never swallow the lies of Sinn Fein or other republicans - they (you) tried to destroy everything we held dear including our lives and our liberty and now you claim to be everyone's friend and get all upset if anything is said about your past - your tactics are transparent to everyone who has the sense to see and who aren't blinded by hate and fury and rage and guilt - like you are.

Enjoy your one-sided debate but know that there are many people out there who will keep a constant vigil on all that you say and do - all of you who killed and maimed (whether directly or through conspiracy/enablement/approval) have proven that you can never be trusted and so you never will be. You broke the rules and no matter how hard you try you won't get the rest of us to play by them again.

There is no such thing as a dirty word. Nor is there a word so powerful, that it's going to send the listener to the lake of fire upon hearing it.
- Frank Zappa
