No! To a Holy War

Liam O Comain • 15 August 2006

Like all right thinking and concerned human beings I strongly condemn the murderous activity of the Governments of the USA and Britain in co-operation with the Nazis of the 21st Century i. e., the Government and the Army of Israel.

So many innocent lives and limbs are being destroyed in what appears to be a 'Holy War' in the regions of the Middle East. For as well as the economic aspects of the madness of the conflict George Bush believes that he is serving Jewish/Christian civilization. Sadly there are voices coming from the Islamic side in tune with this line of thought when one hears Arab spokespersons calling the Jewish forces and their allies 'Crusaders'. A reference to the Christian and Islamic conflict hundreds of years ago.

Thus all right thinking individuals must condemn and oppose this evil line of thought for it will plunge our world into murderous chaos. Yes, we should seek justice for that region which includes supporting national self-determination for all its peoples which includes the right of the people of Israel to a homeland. Upon such a basis democracy will ripen and hopefully republican socialism will become a reality. For as I have opined in past writings 'government of the people, by the people , for the people', as a definition of republicanism, equates with the reality of the 'means of production, distribution, and exchange' being in the hands of the people. Which is authentic democracy in action!

Republicanism must become a reality in the Middle East, replacing the Sheikdoms and the religious imperialist ideas of certain Jewish and Islamic leaders. Britain and the USA must withdraw and stop robbing the region of its natural wealth. That is the new order that we all must seek! Yes, there is a place for 'pro fide' but the latter must not be used or abused for the sake of evil deeds against humanity. It must enrich rather than destroy!

There is no such thing as a dirty word. Nor is there a word so powerful, that it's going to send the listener to the lake of fire upon hearing it.
