Running
the Chicago Marathon for Irish Political Prisoners
|
|
Everyone,
Republican or otherwise, has their own particular
part to play. No part is too great or too small; no
one is too old or too young to do something. -

On
Sunday, October 22, I will be running the Chicago
Marathon in honor of the Irish Political Prisoners
being held at the Portlaoise, Maghaberry, Whitemoor,
Full Sutton, Long Lartin and Castlerea facilities
in Ireland, the North of Ireland and England.
Please visit my blog at the following link for updates
on my training progress:

In the past few weeks, I have sent letters to over
eighty prisoners and, fortunately, Ive already
received a few responses. As an Irish-American living
in Boston, I am proud to support these individuals
as they endure repeated injustices, harsh treatment
and deprivation. I refuse to sit idly by or forget
the abuses of human rights that have taken place and,
sadly, are continuing against these political prisoners
and many others.
My goal in running and completing the
marathon is to bring attention to their plight and,
in the process, raise funds for their families that
will be distributed via the Irish
Freedom Committee.
I would sincerely appreciate your assistance in spreading
the word about my blog. It would be especially helpful
if you could forward this message to your list of
contacts. If you would like to make a donation (there
is a PayPal button link on the blog), great. If not,
no worries.
